SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes is a San Diego-based sports program serving 1,400 athletes with developmental disabilities ages 5 through adult.
Whether you are an athlete, parent, coach, volunteer, sponsor, or contributor, we welcome you to join us, and to have a voice in how your program will be run. Please take some time to look around and find out more about SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes.
We hope to see you soon.
We believe all exceptional athletes can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
The purpose of SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes is to create enhanced opportunities for people with and without disabilities to interact and form lasting bonds of friendship through shared sports and recreational activities in their community.
Teams may be made up of athletes with developmental disabilities, families, friends, and others who want to play on inclusive teams. We are also working closely with a number of community partners, including:
San Diego Park & Recreation Department - Therapeutic Recreation Services
The Arc of San Diego
The Salvation Army Kroc Center
