S4EA 'Bunco' Fundraiser:
S4EA presents 'Bunco' on Friday, November 6th at S4EA/North Shores from 6-8pm. Tickets are $20 - which includes hors d'oeuvres, soft drinks and two rounds of tournament play. “Guacamole Bowl” Fundraiser:
The 13th Annual Law Enforcement Challenge “Guacamole Bowl” will be held February 20, 2016 from 10am-2pm at the Balboa Park Club (2150 Pan American Road West, San Diego 92101). The Guacamole Bowl is expected to attract more than 1,500 guests who taste guacamole from more than 25 teams and help determine who makes the best guacamole. The public is invited to attend for $5. Last year's Guacamole Bowl made over $12,000 for S4EA.
Teams compete in Law Enforcement, Kiwanis, and Open Divisions. To enter a team, the Entry Fee is $25. Each division has sponsorship opportunities, from $50 for an Entertainment Sponsor up to $5,000 for the Championship Round Sponsor. The proceeds benefit S4EA. "A Taste 4 SPORTS" Fundraiser:
SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes hosted our 8th Annual “A Taste 4 SPORTS” gala fundraiser on Thursday, June 25, 2015 from 6-9pm at the San Diego Hall of Champions. S4EA honored 2014 Boston Marathon Winner, Meb Keflezighi, as our 'SPORTS Man of the Year'. “A Taste 4 SPORTS” included Master of Ceremonies Perette Godwin, music by the 'Steph Johnson Trio', a fabulous silent and live auction, raffle, food & drinks, and fun. Notable sports figures attending included NBA Hall of Fame player Bill Walton, special celebrity guest Mad Mike from MTV's "Pimp My Ride" & many more. Over 300 guests tasted food & drink from 25 restaurants, personal chefs, caterers, breweries & wineries. The 2015 “A Taste 4 SPORTS” raised over $60,000 to support our sports programs.

Athletes can sign-up now for SPORTS Camp Session #3 on October 23-25 at Green Oak Ranch in Vista which will offer a general program of camp & sports activities as well as Halloween fun (costumes, trick-or-treat, haunted house). Session #3 is not recommended for athletes using wheelchairs. Athletes spend 2 nights in cabins and eat 6 camp meals under the guidance of camp counselors/chaperones. Persons with developmental disabilities, families, friends, volunteers, coaches, and supporters are all welcome to join S4EA at the SPORTS Camp.
The SPORTS Camp Registration Fee is $160 per session to help pay for lodging, meals, insurance, supplies, etc. Mail Fee and SPORTS Camp Registration Form as soon as possible to SPORTS for Exceptional Athletes (9575 Aero Drive Suite B, San Diego, CA 92123). SpokesWomen Ride to Benefit S4EA
Congratulations to the SpokesWomen, a 4 women cycling team, for competing in the Race Across the West and winning their division. The average age of the team is 60+. One of the riders, Dalana Pursel, has been a strong supporter of SPORTS
for Exceptional Athletes (S4EA) since our inception 7+ years ago and helps run the Guacamole Bowl. The Race Across the West (RAW) is a 860 mile cycling race held in June starting in Oceanside and ending in Durango, Colorado.
